In my case, ANDROID_SDK_ROOT was initially set incorrectly to my home directory. The first line returned shows where eclipse is looking for the SDK files and will look something like: emulator: found ANDROID_SDK_ROOT: C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk Below is an example for the windows command prompt for an avd I created and named 'SonyTabletS': c:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\tools> emulator -verbose Another reason you can get this error is that Eclipse can't find the correct file.Ĭheck out where Eclipse is looking for your SDK files.
